The Organic Equivalence Tracker

IFOAM – Organics International has been working to promote harmonization and equivalence in organic agriculture since 2002, following an international conference on the topic.

Our activities in these areas are primarily conducted through long-term partnerships with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and the United National Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), as implemented under the ITF Project and the Global Organic Market Access (GOMA) project.

We track the development of equivalence arrangements between government trade partners. This information is now available here as the Organic Equivalence Tracker: serving as the global nexus for information on these arrangements, that is relevant to governments, traders, researchers, and policy advocates interested in trade of organic products.
